We are writing to share an important update regarding the Bright Mountain Foundation.

After 26 years of dedicated leadership, Irene Wessell is transitioning from her role guiding the Foundation’s grantmaking and community engagement efforts. Throughout her tenure, Irene has been a committed advocate for organizations serving children, families, seniors, and vulnerable populations. Her work has helped strengthen countless programs and communities, and her impact will continue to be felt for many years to come.

Under Irene’s leadership, the Foundation has been privileged to support a wide range of nonprofits whose missions align with our commitment to opportunity, dignity, and community well-being. The relationships we have built with partners like you have been central to the Foundation’s purpose, and Irene has always taken great pride in the work you do.

As our family reflects on and honors Irene’s remarkable service, we are also in the early stages of determining the Foundation’s future direction.  We are deeply grateful for the meaningful contributions your organizations make in the community, and we appreciate the trust and collaboration you have shared over the years. Additional information about the Foundation’s next steps will be communicated as decisions are made.
